Description

The Epiphone Les Paul Junior is a rugged electric guitar known for its simplicity and raw rock tone. Retailing for around $529, it features a solid mahogany body, a 50s-style neck profile, a single P-90 pickup, and wrap-around bridge. It is a highly popular, budget-friendly choice for beginners and pros alike.
Key Specifications
  • Body & Neck: Solid mahogany slab body with a 24.75″ scale length and a chunky 50s-style mahogany neck.
  • Fretboard: 12″ radius with 22 medium jumbo frets. Recent models feature a rosewood or laurel fretboard.
  • Electronics: One Dogear P-90 PRO pickup, controlled by a single master volume and master tone (equipped with CTS pots).
  • Hardware: Lightning Bar wraparound bridge and vintage-style Epiphone Deluxe tuners.
Originally built in the 1950s as a student guitar, the Junior is celebrated by guitarists for its “plug-and-play” ethos. Because there is only one pickup, there is less magnetic pull on the strings, which many players feel adds extra sustain and clarity. Its uncluttered control layout also makes it an excellent, low-maintenance workhorse for gigging musicians or a great modding platform
